The description of the metalized ceramics
In the ceramic to metal joining technology, a certain metallic layer on the ceramic surface is needed, like Molybdenum or Tungsten, then it could achieve in connection of metal and ceramic by means of high-temperature brazing. Metalized alumina Ceramic Parts are commonly used in many applications, like electronics, High-Vacuum Technology, Medical Technology, Sensor Technology.

Conventional surface metallization methods include the noble metal method and the Mo-Mn method. Among them, the noble metal method is to mix a precious metal powder (such as silver powder, palladium powder) with glass powder, a binder, a solvent, etc. to form a slurry and apply it on the surface of the ceramic, and then the glass is melted and sintered to form a precious metal layer on the surface of the ceramic; the Mo-Mn method is to coat metal powders such as molybdenum powder and manganese powder on the surface of the ceramic, and then sinter at a high temperature in a reducing atmosphere (hydrogen), thereby forming a metal layer on the ceramic surface.
